As the name implies, rashguards help against the chafing that a wetsuit can give you. A "skin" is basically another name for a rashguard, but usually means a full bodied rashguard. Rashguards and skins also are a great way to keep from getting a sunburn and will stay cool when in or out of the water. They usually will provide little to no warmth unless otherwise noted in the description.
